Build a contacts database

If people attend your event, activity or project launch, you can entice them to leave their personal details. This information can be built into a Contacts Database for future communications with them. You can also use it to analyse the type of audience you have attracted. Ways to entice people to leave their details include:
  • evaluation forms
  • competition draw
  • response sheet for notification of other events
  • follow-up activities.
Response forms may include requests for the following criteria:
  • name
  • designation
  • address: physical, postal
  • telephone number
  • e-mail address
  • age
  • gender
  • interests.
Remember to include a disclaimer on any forms to provide confirmation that the information is used only for the purpose intended. The personal information you collect for future communications must be treated confidentially. Such information is bound the Privacy Act.
